Our Story

We’ve been friends for 10years and neither of us saw this coming; at least in the beginning… From being zoned as a ‘father’ to becoming a boyfriend. After several years of hide and seek, we became partners in crime a year ago, and well the rest is history! 

Our Story

Eddy's Version

Allow me to share the beautiful story of how my beloved Abby, entered my life. More than a decade ago, our paths serendipitously crossed at the University of Ghana through our shared circle of friends. As time passed, our connection grew stronger, providing us the freedom to openly express our thoughts and feelings. Whenever something captivating arose, she was always the first person I turned to. Our bond was truly extraordinary, filled with understanding and deep companionship. 

It was during Abby’s visit to Prague, Czech Republic in 2022 that our relationship soared to new heights. The memory of that moment when I proudly introduced her as my girlfriend is etched in my mind, and the sheer bliss I experienced remains unmatched. As we wandered hand in hand through the enchanting streets of Karlovy Vary and Prague, I realized I had discovered a precious gem, someone I would cherish for eternity.

What initially began as a friendship back in 2013 has blossomed into a deep and affectionate relationship. When I reflect upon our journey together, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible blessing Abby has been in my life. Now, I eagerly anticipate spending the rest of my life with her, embracing our shared future with open hearts and boundless love. 

Abby has cultivated a habit of creating a long-lasting positive impact on everyone she encounters. Whether it’s supporting their work or showcasing her culinary skills in the kitchen, where she prepares the most delectable grilled chicken, Abby’s abilities are undeniable. To me, Abby represents an unparalleled combination of love, unwavering principles, and a profound spiritual connection with God. With her mere presence, she can transform any somber occasion into a joyous celebration. Her beautiful smile radiates warmth, and her kindness, tender-heartedness, and forgiving nature shine brightly, aligning perfectly with the principles beautifully outlined in:
Ephesians 4:32

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

My beloved Abby, you bring immeasurable happiness into my life. With you by my side, I am reminded of Proverbs 31:29, which states, “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”

Our Story

Abby's Version

I met Edmund on campus through friends in our drama and choreography team. Since they were mostly engineering students, I would join them to study (even though I was known to always sleep the whole study time- At least that’s how Eddy puts it). We slowly became friends who shared inside jokes and meals as a group. Eddy never danced but he will come watch us rehearse for our drama and choreography events at Church. 

Because of his constant care, I started calling him my father. We got close when he moved to the Czech Republic. We weirdly stayed in touch and almost became the best of friends. We spoke to each other daily and for several hours, it almost felt something was amiss when we didn’t. After each of us meeting other people or having other relationships and in between losing touch a few times, we reconnected during my MBA. 

I mostly wanted to keep it to professional discussions, but it seemed time apart solidified our desire to be with each other more than anything else. And unbeknownst to me, we had fallen in love with each other. In one of our usual connections over fixing a PDF so I could submit a last-minute assignment few minutes to the deadline, we started recounting the past all the funny and not-so-funny moments and it ended up in a proposal which I probably still thought was a joke till it wasn’t. That also took time to sink in and I guess I really believed it last year summer.   

Eddy is patient and kind, always putting others ahead of him even when it would cost him so much…. 

He is the most passionate, loyal, loving and smartest person I have ever met. He encourages and pushes me to achieve my goals. Eddy exemplifies Love. When I am with him, all the chaos around us doesn’t matter. I think about Philippians 4:8, when I think about him. 

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
